“Dear ESREA members, I’m glad to announce the first call for papers for the 2014 conference of the ESREA research network on Policy Studies on Adult Education. The conference will be held in Aalborg, Denmark, 18-20 June 2014 and has the theme “Interrogating Sustainability in Adult Learning Policy: European and Global Perspectives”. For more information see the attached file or go towww.esrea.org. Furthermore, I want to inform that in the framework of theESREA 7th European Research Conference in Berlin (4-7 Septembre 2013), the ESREA network History of Adult Education and Training in Europe will organise a round table session onHistorical Approach Specificities in the Context of Adult Education Research. Six researchers from various European countries will participate at this round table and draw the situation of Historical research in Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Portugal and United Kingdom. The organisers’hope that the round table discussion in Berlin will encourage networkers to gather information from other countries or regions as well and inspire further discussion on the role, significance and possibilities of historical research on the education and learning of adults.
